Welcome!

I'm traveling to Uganda this summer as part of a course in Human Services in Developing Countries at Simmons. We'll be there for about four weeks, learning about the country and its social services. I was originally thinking that I wanted to create a blog as an efficient way to update friends and family on the trip itself... but then I figured I may as well start it now so that nobody takes my domain name! That, and it's probably easier to learn how this high-tech blogging stuff works while I'm not traveling.
